One Saudi Company’s Role in Fostering Saudi Arabia’s Anti-Corruption Efforts

Saudi Arabia’s Council of Ministers has endorsed a sweeping set of programs and reforms to be implemented by 2030 known as Vision 2030. The program includes a plan to improve transparency and combat corruption in all sectors. In a televised interview, Saudi Arabia’s then-Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud announced that Saudi Arabia will be placed at “the forefront of countries which are combatting corruption and to have the lowest rates of corruption in the world.” In a guest article, Waleed Alghosoon and Danielle Cannata of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) explain how their company is supporting the Saudi Vision 2030 through its internal anti-corruption programs and through capacity building in its Saudi supply chain.
