Data analytics is becoming a critical component of FCPA compliance. Unfortunately, like other fields that involve math, many lawyers find it beyond their skill set, according to Richard W. Grime, a partner at Gibson Dunn, while moderating a recent PLI program on maximizing the use of data in compliance programs. However, lawyers must become familiar and comfortable with analyzing data if they are going to be doing any FCPA compliance work, he said.
