Opportunities for Anti-Corruption Compliance Enhancements While Working Remotely

Assessing and improving compliance programs can sometimes be pushed on the back burner, but panelists at a recent Cadwalader program argued that the COVID‑19 pandemic may provide opportunities for companies to evaluate their compliance programs and improve them. “How can we use this time to really look for opportunities in areas that do not require travel or a lot of expenditure to make some enhancements in ways we would not do otherwise?” asked Joseph Moreno, a partner at Cadwalader and moderator of the panel. The program featured Rebecca Rohr, VP, anti-corruption and global trade, ethics and compliance at Hewlett Packard Enterprise; Matt Queler, a principal at Deloitte; and Piyush Sharma, deputy chief compliance officer at Alexion Pharmaceuticals.
