Will the Notebooks Scandal Be Argentina’s Operation Car Wash?

The investigation into Argentina’s biggest corruption scandal ever, the Cuadernos or Notebooks scandal, has been expanding so rapidly that some commentators have even dared to compare it to Brazil’s Operation Car Wash. The investigation began when several notebooks kept by Argentina’s former Minister of Federal Planning’s driver, were given to a journalist. The driver’s notes revealed an extensive bribery scheme involving numerous public officials.
