Kroll Fraud and Risk Report Finds Significant Impact From Corruption, Despite Board Support, Internal Controls, Risk Assessments and Use of Data Analytics

Most companies have sufficient board-level support for anti-corruption efforts, have adequate internal controls, and use both risk assessments and data analytics, a recent Kroll survey of about 1,330 senior personnel with risk management duties found. Nevertheless, more than four-fifths also reported that their organizations had suffered “significant” impacts from corruption. Kroll also examined the incidence of corruption investigations, their cost and the use of external expertise and data analytics. This article details the key findings from Kroll’s study.
